It does not feel good when a knee jerk reaction results in regret. I try counting to 10. It does not consistently work. The 90 second rule described by Jill Bolte Taylor: WebHowever, according to Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, when we are emotionally triggered, it takes less than 90 seconds for an emotion to get triggered, surge chemically through the blood stream, and then get flushed out.
